GAZA CITY – In a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement, Israeli forces launched a series of deadly airstrikes on Gaza City on Friday, killing five Palestinians and injuring several others, according to local health officials.
Eyewitnesses reported that the attacks targeted residential areas, causing widespread panic among civilians. The identities of the victims have yet to be confirmed, but medical sources indicate that some of the casualties include women and children.
The renewed assault comes despite ongoing international efforts to maintain a fragile truce in the besieged enclave. Palestinian officials condemned the strikes as a continuation of Israel’s aggression, accusing it of deliberately undermining diplomatic efforts to bring stability to the region.
Human rights organizations have also criticized the attack, calling for an immediate cessation of hostilities and demanding accountability for the repeated violations of ceasefire agreements.
