Hamas-affiliated media reported that an Israeli strike in al-Mawasi, Khan Younis, killed three people including a girl; Israel later said it hit three militants leaving a tunnel nearby.

Three people, including a girl, were killed in an Israeli strike in al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis, according to Hamas-affiliated media cited by The Times of Israel early on Monday. The Israeli military did not immediately comment.

Later the same day the military said it had struck three operatives who came out of a tunnel shaft west of the yellow line in Khan Younis, saying hits were identified but not confirming deaths.

The day before, two people were killed by shelling in al-Mawasi, according to Nasser Medical Complex.
