Tents set alight along the yellow line as new markers appear in Shuja'iyyeh
Aid agencies report continued arson along the ceasefire line, and a UN site in Deir al-Balah came under fire. An earlier fire displaced about 200 families.
The UN said tents were set on fire in Ash Shuja'iyyeh on Sunday night, leaving at least nine households without shelter, as new yellow blocks were seen there and in Deir al-Balah.
Reported arson attacks are continuing in areas along the yellow line, UN News said on 26 October, citing humanitarian partners.
New yellow blocks were seen in Ash Shuja'iyyeh, in eastern Gaza City, and in parts of Deir al-Balah. Tents burned in Ash Shuja'iyyeh on Sunday night left at least nine households without shelter.
A UN site in Deir al-Balah also came under fire, the UN said.
OCHA had reported on 15 October that Israeli forces moved yellow line markers westward near Ash Shuja'iyyeh on 11 October, raising fears of further displacement.

The yellow line marks where Israeli forces withdrew under the October 2025 ceasefire. Moving its markers westward shrinks the area where displaced Palestinians can live.
